Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University

In years past the English Reformed Church enjoyed an excellent relationship with the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education, which led to an accreditation contract with them in 1996 as well as cooperation with them in curricular and administrative development.

In 2004, a change in the structure of tertiary education in South Africa led to the merger of PU for CHE with the University of the North West and the Vista University (Sebokeng) to form a single new institution, the North-West University.

The university examines the academic qualification of the lecturers, supervises the contents of the degree course, and moderates the exams. We offer an accredited BTh degree and can supervise MA work in conjunction with North-West University.

Our regular contacts with the university continue to benefit and encourage us. Our relationship with the University comes through our contact with the Potchefstroom Campus, which has allowed us to offer our specialized pastoral curriculum virtually unchanged.
